For over more than five decades, Jamies has proudly served Virden and surrounding communities with fine jewelry, expert craftmanship, and personalized service.
The store was founded in 1970 by the Neal’s. Naming their store, “Jamies Jewelers”, after Jim’s daughter, Jamie, made the business a true family legacy.
In 1993, ownership was passed to Cliff & Kelly Hughes where they renamed the store to “Jamies The Diamond Mine” and expanded the reputation for 30 more years!
In 2024, Maggie Callarman became the owner, and is the current owner and jeweler, of Jamies The Diamond Mine! As the Hughes’ were ready for their next chapter, they gave Maggie a call as she worked alongside them in 2015.

NICE TO MEET YA!
My love for jewelry began at a young age. Throughout my journey, I learned how I love to work with beautiful and unique pieces that tell a story.I began pursuing my dream to be a jeweler at the Gemological Institute of America in Carlesbad, California, where I received a full education on the industry as a whole. I earned my Gemologist/Jeweler certification in 2015, and have been pursuing my passion of repairing, designing, and creating beautiful jewelry ever since.I debuted at Jamies back in 2015, where I worked as a bench jeweler. I then went to work under businesses in Springfield and Colorado. They were all great experiences that helped me grow! When the Hughes' called to inform me about their retirement, I couldn't pass up the opportunity of returning home and taking over the business which helped me get out there. When I’m not at my workbench, you can find me spending time with my family! I am a wife to my husband, Jake, and a mother to two children. I’m Maggie!
