For over more than five decades, Jamies has proudly served Virden and surrounding communities with fine jewelry, expert craftmanship, and personalized service.
The store was founded in 1970 by the Neal’s. Naming their store, “Jamies Jewelers”, after Jim’s daughter, Jamie, made the business a true family legacy.
In 1993, ownership was passed to Cliff & Kelly Hughes where they renamed the store to “Jamies The Diamond Mine” and expanded the reputation for 30 more years!
In 2024, Maggie Callarman became the owner, and is the current owner and jeweler, of Jamies The Diamond Mine! As the Hughes’ were ready for their next chapter, they gave Maggie a call as she worked alongside them in 2015.

I earned my Gemologist/Jeweler certification through the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in 2015 and have been pursuing my passion of repairing, designing, and creating beautiful jewelry ever since. My love for jewelry began at a young age. Throughout my journey, I learned how I love to work with beautiful and unique pieces that tell a story. As I grew up here in this small town, I was happy to take the offer as the new owner!When I’m not at my workbench, you can find me spending time with my family! I am a wife to my husband, Jake, and a mother to two children. I’m Maggie!
